Sales process

Sales cadence

Also called Sequence

Definition

A scheduled series of emails, calls and tasks a rep follows with a prospect until they respond.

Sales cadence explained

Cadences (HubSpot calls them sequences) automate follow-up so prospects don't slip. Emails go from the rep's own inbox, and the cadence stops when the prospect replies or books a meeting.

They differ from drip campaigns, which are marketing emails sent to many contacts at once.
